THE BODY AS A SYMPHONY
The human
body is analogous to a finely tuned orchestra with your brain
functioning as the conductor and your cells, tissues and organs
representing the instruments being played hormones, enzymes and other
vital chemistries portraying as musicians. Each and every part of the
orchestra (body) is essential to produce resonance and harmony. If even
one instrument is out of tune (i.e. a “synthetic” vs. a bio-identical
hormone) or missing (depleted hormones levels) the orchestra is not
complete and the end result is a poor performance, disappointment and
certainly no standing ovation.
We age as our hormones decline -not the reverse
which is thought to be the case by so many. In other words aging is the
result of depleted hormone levels not the cause of
depleted hormone levels. This is evidenced by measuring the levels of
healthy individuals over the age of 70. In general the healthier the
individual the higher their hormone levels and vice-versa.
Although replenishing and optimizing hormone
levels may not be the fountain of youth or the “silver bullet” that will
keep us forever young, thin, beautiful and healthy, they are the
“juice of youth” that can slow down our biologic clocks and deliver us
10-20 more years of healthy aging.
The hormones to which I am referring (in both
sexes) are:
CORTISOL-DHEA-PROGESTERONE-ESTROGEN-TESTOSTERONE
GROWTH HORMONE-MELATONIN-THYROID-PITUITARY and
HYPOTHALAMIC HORMONES-INSULIN
Take a few moments to see if the signs and symptoms
that you may be experiencing could be due to a hormonal imbalance and
benefit from preventive medicine anti-aging protocols like ICAM’s
H.E.A.R.T. program (Hormone, Endocrine, Anti-Aging Replacement Therapy)
will bring back your youthful appearance, energy and health. .

SCORING: If you
have checked a total of three or more in the “significant to severe
range” in these subcategories, you may be experiencing an imbalance,
insufficiency or deficiency of one or more the essential hormones or
compounds that optimize health, happiness and longevity. If so, here’s
what you can do about it……………… Contact ICAM South at: (609) 978-9002 or
ICAM North at: (973) 790-6363 to make an appointment with Dr. Bartiss.
